2015 Michigan Dirt Cup Modified Tour Champion To Earn $5,000 Payday

Troy, MI — (Monday, May 4, 2015) — The 2015 racing season for the Allstar Performance Michigan Dirt Cup Modified Tour Presented by Lane Automotive is set to begin with the season opener on Friday, May 8th. Winston Speedway serves as host of the 2015 season opener as an aggressive 13-race schedule is on tap for the tour’s fifth anniversary season and there is plenty of incentive to go around for the MDC drivers and teams. It all starts with a cool $5,000 going to the 2015 Michigan Dirt Cup Modified Tour Champion.

All drivers who compete in at least 80% of the MDC Modified Tour events in 2015 will win cash at the end of the season thanks to the 2015 Points Fund Sponsors: Allstar Performance, Lane Automotive, Aeroquip Performance Products, Driven Racing Oil, QuarterMaster, and Crane Ignitions.

MDC Modified Tour drivers must be registered for the 2015 racing season, in good standing with MDC and display the correct decals on the side of the car. MDC will also award certificates at all events, including non-points races. The Howe Racing Enterprises Qualifier Heat Races which will transfer cars into the MDC A-Feature later each evening while Hoosier Racing Tires, the official tires of the MDC Modified Tour will give away two tires for each race throughout the season.

The following sponsors will offer $100 certificates, per event, redeemed through Lane Automotive and they include: Allstar Performance, Lane Automotive, Aeroquip Performance Products, Driven Racing Oil and QuarterMaster. These certificates will be awarded by blind draw.

In addition, Crane Ignitions will award a $100 certificate to the highest finishing driver running a Crane Ignition box at each event. QuickCar Racing Products will award a $100 certificate to the driver passing the most cars in each MDC A-Feature as part of the QuickCar Hard-Charger Award. Points will be tabulated for the season and the driver with the highest total will win the 2015 QuickCar Hard-Charger of the Year prize package.

Thirteen races scheduled for the Allstar Performance Michigan Dirt Cup Modified Tour Presented by Lane Automotive for the 2015 racing season and it all starts on Friday, May 8th with a trip to Winston Speedway. The fast 3/8 (0.375) mile semi-banked dirt oval will kick off the fifth anniversary season for the Flint, Michigan based series with the 27th all-time race in Tour history.
