Wyoming, MI — (April 21, 2015) — Great Lakes State veteran, Brian Campbell is always a top threat wherever he races. Some tracks are just special to the Wyoming, Michigan driver and one of his favorites is the fast 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Toledo Speedway (OH). On April 11th in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS season opener, the 7-Up 100 Presented by Royal Truck & Trailer Sales, Campbell, the two-time and defending race winner who started in eighth, would quickly and methodically charge his way towards the front.

Once Campbell got to pole-sitter, Cody Coughlin’s back bumper he wasted no time searching for a way around the 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion. On lap 26, he made what would be the winning pass for the lead and immediately disappeared from the rest of the field. The first caution free race in the series’ 19-year history proved to be beneficial to Campbell who would be able to keep enough real estate between his #47 Merritt Speedway / Enterprise Iron & Metal / Ford and the rest of the pack en route to his third victory in the last four years in the event.

“I was just waiting for something dumb to happen whether it was us or someone else. When the yellow flag never came out, that was pretty awesome and here we are back in victory lane at one of my favorite race tracks around, Toledo Speedway.” Smiled the 36-year-old driver from Wyoming, Michigan after climbing from his winning machine. “I’ve been coming here forever since my Dad (Fred Campbell) raced in the old Iceman Super Car Series and we’ve been fortunate to win a few times. I just really love to race here.

The next race on the schedule for Campbell and his Lakeshore Motorsports Team will be at his home track of Berlin Raceway (MI) for the tracks Boyne Machine Super Late Model series season opener on Saturday, April 25th. An eight race series utilizing Template Bodied Super Late Models which closely follow the procedures and rules of the ARCA/CRA Super Series. Which means that Campbell will miss the next scheduled ARCA/CRA race at Anderson Speedway (IN).

“Hate to miss the ARCA/CRA race especially since we’re leading points. But all of my sponsors are based in the Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area and they want to see me at Berlin every chance we can run. So we’re going to run every event there, which includes two ARCA/CRA races and the next one after Anderson is May 16th,” Explained Campbell as he talked about the remainder of the 2015 racing schedule. “So we’re going to miss Anderson and one more CRA show later in the year, but otherwise we’ll be at as many CRA shows as we can fit into the schedule.” He ended.

For the rest of the 2015 racing season, Campbellā€™s familiar white #47 Lakeshore Motorsports / Ford Fusion will carry sponsorship decals and support from Merritt Speedway as well as Enterprise Iron & Metal, McGunegill Engine Performance, Sweet Manufacturing, Port City Racecars, Penske Racing Shocks, Driven Racing Oil, Handy Wacks Products and M.P.H.
